Registering Children for Vermilion Soccer The 2020 Outdoor Soccer Player Registration Form and Parent Letter can be printed off (attached below) or picked up at the Town Office. Please complete form and either drop off at our AGM and Registration Night on March 2, 2020, mail to Vermilion Soccer Association (Box 3729, Vermilion, T9X 2B7) or drop off at the Town Office (late fees will apply after March 31, 2020). Please note that Registration Fees are listed in the Parent Letter. Your child is not considered registered if payment and volunteer bond cheques do not accompany registration form. Also, please note that the Town Office is a DROP-OFF POINT ONLY; please put your completed form, which has already been witnessed, and your cheques in an enclosed envelope marked "Vermilion Soccer" and drop them off; the Town Office does NOT take debit, and is uncomfortable taking cash. Personnel at these locations are not equipped to handle questions, either. Practice Times Normal practice times for outdoor soccer are as follows: U5; 6:15-7:00pm on Monday evenings in the beginning of May U7-U11; 6:15-7:15pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning end of April U13-U19; 7:30-9:00pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning end of April VOLUNTEERS make it all possible! Parent Volunteer Hour Requirements for each child; Mini-level (U7-U11): 6 hours ~ Youth-level (U13-U19): 8 hours U5 parents are expected to be on the field with their child in lieu of volunteer hours. Attached below is a working Staff Manual outlining jobs, roles and responsibilities of all volunteer positions. Vulnerable Sector Checks (formerly Criminal Record Check) EVERYONE WHO IS A VERMILION SOCCER ASSOCIATION COACH, ASSISTANT COACH, MANAGER OR ON THE BOARD MUST have a Vulnerable Sector Check completed. Please drop them off in the Secretary's file slot in the Shack or give them Danielle Eriksen (registrar) NO LATER THAN MAY 11, 2020. This document is valid for 3 years with VSA. You must take a signed letter from the President or Vice President with you to the RCMP Station in order to get a Vulnerable Sector Check completed; if you do have a signed letter please contact the Secretary. RCMP only accept Vulnerable Sector Checks from Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. If your Vulnerable Sector Check is going to take longer than 2 weeks, please ASK the RCMP to provide you with an In-Progress letter to hand in until the check is complete.
